Paper Paintings was a personal project which sprouted from the question, ‘What would a Paper Painting look like?’  Beginning with Old Master research, I identified techniques used in historical paintings and applied them to paper. Most influential were ideas around underdrawings, layering & the elusive art of making the ordinary interesting.
